BOBSEINE
Our Families, Our Future
ENVISIONING 150
At the core of our campaign is this--the ideal that every person in the 150th District has the equal right to attain:
-
a good public education;
-
affordable, accessible health care;
-
a business dream or life-sustaining employment;
-
suitable housing; and
-
a life in a safe, sustainable, inclusive community.
WHO IS MIKE BOBSEINE?
Mike is an attorney in Chautauqua County who practiced primarily in the Chautauqua County Family Court, representing children and families. He also worked as a guardian for elderly clients unable to care for themselves, and helped clients with mental health issues in their court proceedings. He left private practice after 10 years to serve as a Magistrate judge in the Family Court.
After retiring from Family Court, Mike has volunteered his time to help people with difficult legal issues and most recently served as the City of Dunkirk Attorney during Mayor Willie Rosas’s final year in office.
Mike was a Chautauqua County Legislator for over ten years, and served as the Chair of the Legislature when Mark Thomas was County Executive. Mike has served on a host of not-for-profit boards in Chautauqua County. He was elected to the Fredonia Central School Board three times and served as Board President for the last six of his twelve years as a board member.

Mike has been married to Chautauqua County Legislator, Susan Parker, for 40 years. Together, they have three children and six grandchildren. Mike's focus on family is at the heart of his campaign.
BOBSEINE
...And Be Heard!
"Bobseine...and be heard!" is a play on Mike’s last name (pronounced “Bob-Seen”) and the truth that Mike is never quiet about his passions, including his passion to represent the people of the 150th Assembly District loudly and effectively! Mike believes that it is time that the 150th Assembly District had an Assemblyperson who works with the Governor’s Office and the Assembly Speaker and the Senate’s Majority Leader to get things done for our District. The last times the 150th Assembly District was effectively represented in Albany was when Bill Parment was our Assemblyperson and Kathy Young was in the Senate and Chair of the Finance Committee. Bill Parment figures that having our current representation costs the 150th District about $3 million annually in program and infrastructure aid.
